Former Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda says it’s difficult to train alone as a goalkeeper unlike the other outfield players.
Fatau was responding to a question on how Goalkeepers are able to maintain their form whilst the league is on break due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Speaking to Ohene-Bampoe Brenya on Happy FM, he said “ It’s difficult to train at home at this point.
“As a goalkeeper you will need endurance and you will have to train so you can maintain your composure and reflexes”.
“Goalkeeping is different from the outfield players so as a goalkeeper you need to adopt different methods to train whilst at home”.
“The goalkeeping department is different that is why they have a special coach assigned for the role”, he added.
He further said to identify a good goalkeeper one must not just look at the clean sheets of the goalkeepers but considered other factors as well.
Fatau Dauda currently plays for Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities.
