Gaza’s Health Ministry has confirmed the deaths of at least 38 people, with 203 others in critical medical condition, following Israeli airstrikes over the past few hours.
In the north, Kamal Adwan Hospital has been struck again, while in central and southern Gaza, tents designated as safe zones were hit, resulting in several fatalities.
Meanwhile, the United States and Arab mediators continue efforts to broker a ceasefire in Gaza and secure the release of hostages held in the war-torn region.
The latest meeting which occurred with the CIA on Wednesday between mediators (Qatar and Egypt) and CIA Director William J. Burns in Qatar, where they discussed the preparedness of each party for the halt on attacks.
However, U.S. and Israeli officials have acknowledged significant obstacles, including Hamas providing the names of hostages to be released and clarifying the positioning of Israeli forces.
Hamas has stated that a ceasefire agreement is possible if Israel ceases setting new conditions. However, Israel’s defense minister has asserted that his country “will control security in Gaza with full freedom to act” after the war concludes.
