The Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri and Minority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has urged all committed members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stand by their colleagues in any confrontation with members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“If you are a dedicated NPP member and see an NPP member fighting with an NDC member, assist the NPP member to defeat the NDC member, and ensure they are thoroughly beaten,” he said.

Speaking to party supporters about the ongoing issue with the declaration of election results in the Ablekuma North Constituency, Annoh-Dompreh criticized the Electoral Commission (EC) for delaying the collation and announcement of results. He emphasized that the NPP’s 2024 parliamentary candidate, Nana Akua Afriyie, emerged victorious and demanded the EC declares the results without further delay.

He issued a one-week ultimatum to the EC to finalize the declaration, warning of consequences if the delay persists. He also criticized the Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga, accusing him of attempting to use violence to obstruct the collation process. Annoh-Dompreh vowed that if the NPP is denied justice, they will ensure the NDC does not have peace in Parliament.

“We are giving the EC a one-week ultimatum, and they must declare our candidate as the winner of the elections,” he said.

He further called on the Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, to remain vigilant and ensure the smooth collation of results, warning that the NPP would continue to express their grievances through demonstrations if the situation remains unresolved.
