Captain Planet, lead of the highlife duo 4×4 has disclosed that he wrote his current hit song ”Obi agye obi girl” out of his personal life experience.
The Rapper in an interview with DJ Advicer host of Ayekoo After Drive show on Happy FM revealed that, ”people always lie. This is a song that every man can relate to, of course lot of ‘Borgas’ have snatched my girls and I have also snatched girls of others before so it’s just like you do me I do you. If you have a girl and you don’t take good care of her, somebody can snatch her with money, somebody can snatch her with lies and many things so if you have a girl, handle her with care.” Captain Planet noted.
On whether he was surprised his song is a hit and is being played everywhere, Captain Planet said ”No, Advicer, you see now town is hot so things are difficult so Ghanains need songs that will make them dance, they want anthems that they can relate to and I think I have given them something that they have been expecting but it wasn’t something that I was expecting to go this far. Frankly it was DJ Killerfingers of YFM who heard it in my car and asked me to give it to him to play for the first time and it’s now a hit.”
