Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has issued a stern warning to all potential ministers under his administration to steer clear off any acts of corruption or face the consequences.
He said this while engaging with Ghanaian youth at the NDC Townhall Conversations held today, August 12, 2024 at the Bukom Boxing Arena, Accra.
He explained that the presence of corruption in Ghana has had a detrimental effect on the nation’s economy but will not linger should he attain victory come December 7th. “Yes politicians are friends. I have been in the field of politics for many years and I have made many friends but I will not tolerate corruption.”
Mr. Mahama added that every minister appointed under his administration should look forward to building Ghana’s economy and not crippling it. “I am warning all minister here; If you are caught engaging in corruption you are on your own; if you engage in corruption you will be prosecuted and jailed. I will not clear anyone; I am not a clearing agent.”
