Ghanaian highlife artiste, Dada Hafco has expressed his dissatisfaction about musicians mobilizing their fans to vote for them to win awards or recognition, stating that it’s unfair.
The ‘’Yebe wu nti’’ hitmaker, speaking in an interview with DJ Advicer, on Happy FM ‘s ‘’Ayekoo after drive show’’ said, ” Yebe wu nti’’ has received nominations and awards both here in Ghana and UK. If everything were to be fair, I should have been able to win all the awards I was nominated in. Even though I didn’t win the Highlife Song of the Year, I won on Social media and that was refreshing.”
“The beauty of this career is to wake up and be given what you never expected; that is the fun part of the career. Why would I mobilize people to vote for me when hard work and creativity are there as evidence for anyone to see” he asked.
Dada Hafco had two nominations with his popular single dubbed ‘’Yebe wu nti’’ in the recent Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) but went home with no award.
