Accra Great Olympics CEO, Oluboi Commodore says he would be surprised if Maxwell Abbey Quaye signs for another club in Ghana.
Abbey Quaye,who is currently with the Black Galaxies confirmed his move to Hearts of Oak on his social media page after his contract expired with Olympics.
He signed a three-year deal with The Phobians after on transfer deadline day.
Oluboi Commodore explained in an interview on Happy Sports that, Maxwell had lots of offers from clubs abroad and told him personally that he would not sign for any other club in Ghana but would want to ply his trade abroad.
“Maxwell rejected offers from Kotoko and other clubs even in Africa which he rejected and told me that he wants to go to Europe” Oluboi Commodore told Odiasempa Kwame Oware
“Although his contract might have expired, if he want to play for another club in Ghana, Olympics would have to give him the permission but if he signs for a club outside, he would not need our permission.
“In our system or the GFA system, he is still an Olympics player though there has been some reports on Twitter about he joining Hearts, I don’t think he is the one”. He added.
