Hearts of Oak reserve goalkeeper, Richmond Ayi, says despite not being the number one goalkeeper for the cup winners, he had faith that his time would come.
Speaking in an interview on Happy Sports with host Ohene Bampoe-Brenya, he said, “I believe in the passage of time. We’re here to help Hearts of Oak, and the progress of the team is the most important thing. If the coach needs me, I’m ready. If he does not, I will wait for my chance. You’ll go far if you understand the concept of time and season,”
Throughout the season, the goalkeeper appeared in 16 games. He had seven clean sheets and 11 conceded.
When asked what his expectations are for Hearts of Oak, the goalkeeper stated that as a player, it is natural to want to achieve the best possible results and gain more recognition.
“I already have 5 medals, and of course, I’m looking forward to more medals in the upcoming seasons,” he added.
