Former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya constituency, Sarah Adwoa Safo, following her summoning to the NPP headquarters to face the party’s disciplinary committee today, has indicated that she was not informed about the postponement of her scheduled meeting.
The former Member of Parliament, who was criticized by the party for ‘ill’ comments made across various media platforms, last month says she received an official invitation on Sunday, March 6 to face the disciplinary committee.
Speaking to the press, she affirmed her readiness to comply with the committee’s summons and showed up prepared for the meeting, despite receiving the notice only a day earlier.
“I’m a law-abiding citizen, I’m a lawyer of 23 years standing and I know what is proper. So when I received the letter—though it’s just one day’s notice,” she said.
She further explained that no formal communication had reached her regarding the postponement. “I have not been personally served. You see, when you set a precedent—which is asking me to appear personally, as they did yesterday—I have not received anything from my security guard, as they did yesterday, that tells me that the thing has been postponed.”
