Ghanaian songwriter, singer and producer Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah, who has written hit songs for some Ghanaian musicians has disclosed that he would like the tables to turn for someone else to write songs for him.
The singer said in an interview that he would love some diversification in his melodies by singing someone else’s songs regardless of having the talent to write songs.
“Maybe I should let someone write for me to sing. If you are listening to me and you have a good song, bring it”, he quipped.
Akwaboah was ushered into mainstream music with his hit single ‘I Do Love You’in 2013.
Akwaboah also spoke about his new album which includes one gospel worship medley. He said he has always been religious and committed to his worship. This lifestyle informed his decision to add the gospel song to his 12 track album titled ‘Matters Of The Heart’.
“I play the keyboard at church, I work with my pastor. That is an aspect of me most people don’t know. I’m very religious,”he said.
He is signed on to SarkCess Music record label, owned by BET Award-winner Sarkodie. He is known for hit songs like ‘Hye Me Bo’, ‘Naadu’, among others.
Akwaboah has written hit songs for Becca, Kofi Sarpong, Efya, Sarkodie and other international musicians.
