I want a new challenge- Coach Kobina Amissah on Gold Stars exit

Former Bibiani Gold Stars coach, Kobina Amissah, has confirmed to Happy Sports that he left his role for a new challenge.

Amissah guided Bibiani Gold Stars to secure an historic promotion to the Ghana Premier League for the first time in 21-years.
The coach has shocking left the club barely a month after the club secured historic promotion to the Ghana Premier League.

Speaking in an interview on Wamputu Sports with Joe Debrah on his exit, Coach Kobina Ammisah said: “I didn’t leave Gold Stars because of money. I have worked three seasons for the club and I am tired. I want to change the environment. They have also acknowledged my hard work and we mutually parted ways”.

“It is not like am leaving because there is pressure but I have been active for the past three seasons and I need to take enough rest and refresh my mind.

“Though am leaving, if they need my support, I will wholeheartedly do that but not as part of the management team. I will definitely bounce back very soon”, he added

GoldStars are the fourth club Amisah has helped gain promotion to top-flight football after Berekum Chelsea, Elmina Sharks and Sekondi Hasaacas.
