Former Ebusua Dwarfs coach, Robert Assibu has disclosed to Happy FM that he resigned from his post due to the hostile attitude of the supporters.
Assibu resigned as head coach of Ebusua Dwarfs after their match day four defeat to Liberty Professionals at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday. They lost the game by 2-1.
According to him, he had been threatened spiritually and physically by some supporters who wanted to have their own way in the team.
“Some of the supporters were fighting against me spiritually. They were also part of the reason why we were losing our games. They worked towards spoiling my career and pedigree. Because I didn’t allow them to bring their own players into the team, they turned up against me”, he told Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Wamputu Sports on Happy FM.
“I just had to take a decision to leave the job because my life was under threat. Some of the supporters’ leaders incited the supporters against me, so it was better for me to leave the job. My services are available to any club in the country,” he said
“My service is available to any club here in the country. I can coach any club in the country”.
Dwarfs are yet to pick a point in the ongoing season.
