Nana Yaw Amponsah,Owner of Division one side Phar Ranges FC and GFA presidential hopeful has revealed that someone sent a petition against him to the GFA vetting committee. He is part of the first four Aspirants who faced the lawyer Mr. Frank Davies Esq led Committee on Friday .
Over the weekend all the seven person’s who have put themselves forward to be considered and elected to succeed Kwesi Nyantakyi faced the Vetting Committee. The results are expected to be announced in the coming days before the main elections are held on October 25.
Speaking to Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy FM’s ‘Anopa Bosuo Sports’, Nana Yaw Amponsah disclosed.
“ I had one petition against me in regards to the FIFA Intermediary role where early on I Challenged people to send a petition to the committee .
We engaged and it was settled after because I explained things to them. I didn’t feel that the committee is out there to get people.”-disclosed.
From 2008 to 2018, he was a Licensed Player Agent/Intermediary and transferred over 50 players from Ghana and almost 100 across the globe, which brought huge revenues to Ghanaian Clubs in the process.
“I enjoyed every bit of the vetting personally.They asked questions on the practical ways to restore the integrity back to the GFA . After everything I was satisfied with myself as to how things went.”
“On the grounds of fairness, I was asked if I have issues with any of the panel members and made me understand that the vetting process was being recorded for future reference and evidence sake.Things went on smoothly.”
Vetting committee is expected to release results of its findings to the aspirants on Thursday October 3.
