'I dropped out of Nottingham University to pursue music' – Sista Afia

Ghanaian songstress Sista Afia has revealed that she dropped out during her second year at the Nottingham University in the the UK to pursue her music dream.

According to her, after meeting Bisa Kdei at a musical concert in UK, her interest for music was revealed to him and she had to come to Ghana. “I met Kdei after his performance in UK. I was quite shy then but a friend introduced me to him. I sang for him and he asked me to come to Ghana.”

 
She revealed to host of Happy FM’s ShowbizXtra, Doctar Cann that, ” I had to come to Ghana to do music with Bisa Kdei. But after the music was recorded, I had to wait and do the promotion and stuff like that. I couldn’t do the music and pursue my education at the same time. I chose my passion over education.”

The amazing vicalist  continued: “I was in my second year and I decided to put it on hold. I have the chance to  reapply and go back to school later on but not now. At the moment, I am at my peak and the focus is on pursing music now.”

 The musician went to Rev. John Teye Memorial School then Angel Complex. She continued to Afia Kobi Ampem Senior High School. After moving to the UK, she went to High Barnett College then Nottingham University.
