Accra Great Olympics star, Gladson Awako has kicked against the decision to reduce the salaries of players amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The effects of the coronavirus pandemic has resulted to financial difficulties for clubs and players are been encourage to emulate their foreign counterparts in Europe who have accepted to take pay cuts in order to relieve their clubs during these difficult times.
Most Ghana players have kicked against the decision to reduce their meagre salaries and are even requesting for more due to the negative effects of the Covid-19 on the society and economy.

Gladson Awako shares the same sentiments with these players who do not support the move for clubs to reduce their salaries amid the coronavirus storm.
“As at now we haven’t heard from the club in regards to the pay cut. It will be a collective thing between the players and the club. As a group we have to discuss with the playing body whether to agree or not”, he told Happy FM.
He added: “We all know the salaries Ghanaian players are paid in this country is not worthy. So if something of that sought will go on in this country, then I think its not advisable. For me I don’t accept it”.
