Ghanaian rapper and songwriter, Freda Rhymz born Freda Baffour Awuah, has said that she has no regrets over her recent beef with co-musician Sista Afia.
Speaking to DJ Advicer on Happy FM’s ‘Ayekoo After Drive Show, she said: “I don’t regret beefing with Sista Afia. Beef is not supposed to make the other person feel good. It was what I felt like saying that I said. She wa too emotional and made things get to her.
I don’t regret beefing with sista Afia. It is part of the game.It is just like releasing a song and saying you regret releasing this song”.
She however pointed that she apologized for all the hurtful things she said to Sista Afia.
” She [Sista Afia] felt bad about certain things I said to her and I feel that the best I had to was to make her know that it was a game so you don’t have to let it get to you. So I told her I was sorry. It was never planned”,she added.
Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz engaged in a lyrical battle following the release of Sista Afia’s song ‘WMT’ which many had said threw jabs at some female artistes.
The song was met with counter jabs and reactions from Freda Rhymz who released ‘KMT’, and Eno replying with ‘Rap Goddess’.
Sista Afia released ‘You Got Nerves’ which prompted Eno Barony to also drop ‘Argument Done’. Freda Rhymz also dropped ‘Point of Correction’.
This lyrical beef turned physical when two musicians clashed at an Accra-based radio station.
The beef has finally been settled with the two musicians dropping their long time recorded music titled ‘Saucy’.
