I can do the Black Stars job – Sudan assistant coach Osei Fosu

Assistant coach of the Sudanese national team, Ignatius Osei Fosu has put himself out for the Black Stars coaching job.

According to Osei Fosu, tactically as a coach he believes he has the capabilities to handle the Black Stars but coaching national teams goes beyond just tactical instructions.

He said he still has a lot to learn under the experienced James Kwasi Appiah and will accept such an appointment if his boss tells him that he is ready to take up such an appointment.

“If my boss, coach Kwasi Appiah tells me today that Ignatius you are ready to be on my own I will accept such an appointment to be the head coach of the Black Stars.”

“I think tactically I can do the job based on my own abilities but coaching goes beyond tactics. You need to have certain managerial skills especially when you are handling a national team when you don’t have the players at your beck and call,” he said.

Ignatius Osei Fosu and James Kwasi Appiah led the Sudanese national team to qualify for the 2025 African Cup of Nations in Morocco after finishing second in Group F.
