The Chief Executive Officer of Kwaebibirem United Football Club, Cyril Nana Amponsah Junior, has expressed his disappointment in the manner in which the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Appeals Committee treated their petition.
Kwaebibirem United have been demoted to the Division Two after they were found guilty of fielding an unqualified player without an International Transfer Certificate(ITC) per regulations of the GFA.
Speaking in an interview on Happy FM’s Wamputu Sports, Nana Cyril Amponsah said after that he and his entire outfit are disappointed the Appeals Committee dismissed their petition.
“What I don’t understand is that Bekwai Youth Football Club(BWF) registered and fielded the same player in Division one were not punished.
“Also Inter Allies who transferred the player abroad and couldn’t obtain the International Transfer Certificate( ITC) for the player were not punished.
So, how then is it that only Kwaebibirem United is the only one being punished for the usage this said ‘Unqualified’player.” He told Odiasempa Kwame Oware.
