How to redeem oneself from idols - Apostle Eric Yamoah

General Overseer of Christfulness worldwide , Apostle Eric Yamoah, has articulated that it is possible for a repented idol worshipper to be redeemed from the anger and wrath of the idol-inhabiting spirit.

In an interview with Rev. Nyansa Boakwa on Happy FM’s religious morning show, Nsem Pii, he shared that in redeeming oneself from an evil they once worshipped, the first thing to do is to declare the Lordship, thus, accepting God as one’s Lord and personal Saviour.

‘’When you declare the Lordship over yourself, He becomes the master of your life, therefore, you need to accept God as your Lord and personal saviour. Also, when you accept God, you are born again and you become a new creation’’, he said.

The man of God added that in accepting God, it should not only be for the reason of getting rid of the evil, but the person should know why he/she must accept God and mean his repentance.

Furthering on his steps on how to be redeemed, he said, ‘’The second step is to allow the Spirit of God to live in you, thus to make the presence of Jesus visible in your life. Then, you will be in Christ and Christ in you’’.

Apostle Yamoah enlightened that when one is in Christ, then he is only a child of God but when Christ lives in a person, then that person is put in a place of power.
Once that power is obtained, it is important to have consistency in prayer, that is, whenever and wherever, even if it means praying undertone when in a bus.

He concluded that in cases where the evil is a generational family idol, the whole family must individually accept and receive Jesus as their Lord and personal saviour, and only then can the covenant be broken.
