Buying Apple accessories can be tricky, especially online. Considering their high-price tags it’s important to find out thar the product purchased is genuine and not fake. Here are some easy tips to ensure that you buy original Apple accessories
Check for MFI logo on the box
Look for MFI (Made for iPhone/iPad/iPad) logo on the box packaging. All authentic Apple accessory cables have ‘Designed by Apple in California’ printed on them.
Grey/Metallic faceplate inserts
Original Apple Lightning connector always come with Grey/Metallic faceplate inserts, White or Black faceplate inserts mean fake.
Width and length of the connector
Look for the width and length of the connector, it is consisent: 7.7mm x 12mm. Varying width, length, or thickness is sign of counterfeit Lightning cables.
