Herbert Krapa appointed Minister for Energy

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Herbert Krapa as Ghana’s Minister for Energy, effective Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

Until this appointment, Mr. Krapa served as the Minister of State at the Ministry of Energy, a position he assumed on July 15, 2024. During his tenure, he was commended for his diligence, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to advancing the nation’s energy sector.

A statement issued by the Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Eugene Arhin, on Wednesday, November 20, highlighted Mr. Krapa’s significant contributions to the progress and stability of the sector. The President expressed confidence in his ability to deliver in his new capacity and continue driving the growth and transformation of the energy sector.

“In recognition of his hard work and leadership, President Akufo-Addo is confident that Mr. Krapa will continue to distinguish himself in his new role , ensuring the continued growth and transformation of the sector in service to the nation,” part of the statement read.
