The National Chapters Committee Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Elvis Herman Hesse, has broken his silence on the recent defeat to Real Tamale United (RTU) in their matchday one fixture at Tamale,
Hesse in an interview on Happy FM expressed his disappointment with the loss while assuring fans that the team is ready for redemption.
“We lost our game to Real Tamale because of a lack of concentration and hard luck, and we understand these things in football,” Hesse explained. “We deserved at least a point against Tamale. The boys didn’t even eat after the defeat to Tamale. We were so unlucky.”
The defeat to RTU in their opening league fixture was a tough blow for the Phobians, especially considering the high expectations fans had for the team this season. Hesse, however, was quick to emphasize the resilience of the players and their determination to bounce back.
“The boys are ready for Nsoatreman this weekend,” Hesse declared confidently. “We can’t afford to lose matches in a row, and the players are well aware of that. We have had some intense training sessions, and their spirits are high.”
Hearts of Oak will be seeking redemption when they face Nsoatreman FC in their upcoming league match. In contrast, Nsoatreman FC enters the match with confidence after a convincing 2-0 victory over Bechem last weekend, which suggests that this will be no easy task for the Phobians.
The upcoming clash against Nsoatreman FC will be a crucial test for Hearts of Oak’s title aspirations this season.
