Hearts of Oak: Togbe Afede XIV reveals club plans to build new stadium

Bankroller of Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede, is concerned over a disruptive pattern among some supporters which is wrecking havoc on the club’s relationship with its coaches.

The revered institution, known for its rich football history, recently said goodbye to Dutch trainer Martin Koopman, further raising questions about the club’s internal dynamics.

Togbe Afede expressed dismay at the unsettling trend where supporters, show intense endorsement of newly appointed coaches and eventually turn against them for reasons that remain elusive.

This unstable shift in allegiance, according to Togbe Afede, often leads to untenable pressure on the coaching staff, forcing them to either resign or face termination.

The aftermath of this volatile supporter-coach dynamic has left Hearts of Oak in a state of transition, with the departure of Martin Koopman marking the latest casualty.

The Dutch trainer’s exit has thrust Assistant Coach Abdul Bashiru Rahim into the role of caretaker coach.

“When we got Boadu from Medeama the insults were plenty people even labeled him a fake person on some of the Hearts platforms I read it myself today they want him back it is unbelievable,” he said.

“Sometimes these relationships and the people who are anti progress for Hearts of Oak mess the coach around, they mess them up and clearly one of course is Kenichi who was doing so well after he won four, five matches he made new friends.

“Then he turned against us, he sat and told us what we have never heard before he wanted to go on leave we could give you a leave and he left”.
