Hearts’ midfielder Benjamin Afutu leaves Ghana to sign for Egyptian club

Hearts of Oak midfielder Benjamin Afutu has left Ghana to sign for an Egyptian club, Eastern Company Sporting Club, Happy Sports can report.

The box-to-box midfielder failed to sign a contract extension with The Phobians after his contract expired at the end of the season.

Hearts of Oak wanted to keep their influential midfielder for another season but the player seems to have ended his stay with The Phobians as he nears a switch to the Egyptian club.

Happy Sports has sighted a picture of Benjamin Afutu at the Kotoka International Airport.

He is expected to arrive in Egypt to sign a three year contract.

Afutu will earn $80,000 after signing the contract for a year.

The midfielder will get over $100,000 should he be able to complete his three-year contact with the Egyptian club.
