HappyFM receives Radio Station of the Year and five other nominations for National Communication Awards

Ghana’s pacesetting radio station, Happy98.9FM has received six nominations for the 2023 edition of the National Communication Awards.
The award scheme, organized by RAD Communications Limited seeks to recognize the efforts of communication companies, teams and individuals who through their efforts have used communication to champion organizational and national development.

Aside being nominated in the Radio station of the Year category, some of its staff and programs also earned nominations in other categories.

Happy FM’s socio-economic and political show aimed at highlighting everyday issues and concerns of Ghanaians, as well as giving people voice, which airs from Monday to Friday from 5:30 am -9:00am,Happy Morning Show has been nominated in the Radio Programme of the Year category.

Also sports show that presents listeners with sports news from Ghana and across the globe, enriched with celebrity interviews, interlaced with analyses by professional in-house and guest commentators, Happy Sports, which airs every week day from 9:00am -11:00am has also made it into the Sports Show of the Year category.

The Vivacious Akua Sika, host of the most exciting drive show in the country which cuts across celebrity interviews, most authoritative weekly countdowns and other exciting segments, Y3mbo Nkomo and Around Town, Happy Evening Drive which airs from 7:00pm -10:00pm every week day also bagged nomination as the Rising Star Media Personality of the Year, with Happy Evening drive producer tagging along as Producer of the Year nominee.

Happy FM since its inception through activations such as Happy on Wheels, Happy Mass Wedding, Salafest, Happy Blood Donation, has contributed towards championing development.

The nominees were selected for their outstanding strides, contribution, innovation and tireless effort to the communication industry.
