Happy 98.9FM announces the climactic finale of its successful “Happy on Wheels” community engagement series, set to take place at the Neoplan Station, Circle, on Thursday, November 28, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This special edition serves as a crucial platform for political discourse ahead of Ghana’s December 7 general elections.

The event, which marks the culmination of a year-long tour across various constituencies including Korle Klottey, Odododiodoo, , Ashaiman, Nsawam, Anyaa -Sowutwuom, Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfrom, Dome Kwabenya, Madina and Ledzokuku will bring together key political figures and community leaders in Okaikwei South. This finale also serves as a precursor to GMABC’s comprehensive election coverage initiative, “Election Camp.”

Residents of Okaikwei South will have the unique opportunity to engage directly with the Municipal Chief Executive of Okaikwei South Municipal Assembly, Parliamentary Candidates from both NDC and NPP, and Local Assembly Members in an open forum designed to promote transparent dialogue and accountability.

Speaking about this milestone event, Happy FM’s Programmes Manager, Kwabena Ampong (Simpleman), expressed his enthusiasm: “Throughout this year, Happy on Wheels has served as a bridge between leaders and their communities. This final edition in Okaikwei South is particularly significant as we approach the December elections. We’ve witnessed the impact of direct dialogue in other constituencies, and we’re excited to bring this platform to the people of Okaikwei South. Our goal is not just to facilitate conversation, but to ensure that every voice is heard and every concern addressed as we work together towards a peaceful and prosperous Ghana.”

Adding a cultural dimension to this democratic exercise, the renowned Vocal Essence Chorale will grace the occasion with special patriotic songs performances. Various groups like International Relations and Diplomacy Network, SHIMEI solutions women empowerment group will also present peace messages, reinforcing the importance of maintaining harmony and unity during the election period. These artistic presentations will complement the political discourse, creating a well-rounded event that celebrates both democracy and culture.

The event will feature comprehensive discussions of community-specific policies, development initiatives, and future plans for Okaikwei South. Community members will have the opportunity to pose questions directly to their leaders and receive immediate responses, fostering transparency and accountability in governance.
