GTV blacked us out of independence parade coverage – NDC

The National Democratic Congress has alleged that the state broadcaster, GTV deliberately blacked their delegation out during its coverage of the 62nd Independence Day celebration in Tamale Wednesday

The party made the allegation via its official Twitter handle, OfficialNDCGh, a day after the parade was held.

“We have taken notice of the fact that the state broadcaster GTV completely blacked out on the @OfficialNDCGh delegation led by former President John D. Mahama @JDMahama and including national chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo to the 62nd Independence Day parade in Tamale,” the party tweeted.

The 62nd Independence Day celebration took place outside the Black Star Square where it has been traditionally held since the declaration of independence.

Neither the government not the state broadcaster has responded to the allegation.
