The founder of Bills Micro-Credit, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, is currently undergoing a personal income tax assessment by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) over unsettled tax obligations.
While the exact amount in question has not been disclosed, the assessment forms part of routine regulatory measures to ensure compliance with tax laws.
Official sources have refuted claims circulating on social media that his bank accounts have been frozen. Additionally, it has been confirmed that an import duty previously imposed on one of his vehicles has been settled.
The tax assessment comes just days after Quaye’s widely publicized 40th birthday celebration, which gained significant attention on social media.
However, it remains unclear whether the probe was initiated before or after the high-profile event.
