Legon Cities and Medeama will begin the week three round of games in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League as the two sides search for their first win of the campaign.

The two sides lost their match day two fixture against Great Olympics and Dreams FC. Legon Cities suffered a 3-0 defeat to Great Olympics whilst Medeama lost away to Dreams FC by 2-1.

Legon Cities after losing to Olympics sacked their coach Goran Barjaktarevic and have appointed Bashiru Hayford as his replacement.

The assistant coach of Legon Cities and Asamoah Gyan will take charge of the team against Medeama in this match day three fixture before Bashiru Hayford takes charge in subsequent matches.

Asamoah Gyan is also likely to be added to the match day squad, according to sources gathered from the team’s camp.

Medeama picked a 2-0 win over Legon Cities in the last meeting between the two sides at the Accra Sports Stadium in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League which was truncated due to the coronavirus.

The Mauve and Yellow will be heading into the game with that result achieved in their last meeting, hoping to snatch their first win of the season.

Inter Allies vs Hearts of Oak

Hearts of Oak were held to a 2-2 draw against AshGold in their opening fixture of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians shift their attention to city rivals Inter Allies in this match day three fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The last meeting between both sides ended in 1-1 draw at the same venue in the truncated Ghana Premier League.

Inter Allies lost their match day two fixture to Karela United by 1-0 at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park.

The Still Believe Club face a difficult task against Hearts of Oak in search of their first win of the season.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak are keen on ending their 11-year wait for the league title and will target all three points in this fixture.

Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold SC league games have been postponed due to their engagement in CAF Inter-club competition.
