King Faisal striker, Samuel Adom Antwi, believes the club(King Faisal) can avoid relegation in the ongoing 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League(GPL).
King Faisal began life under newly appointed coach Godwin Ablordey with a 3-2 win over Karela United at the Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
Goals from Samuel Kusi, Abdul Latif, and Benjamin Batur earned the “Insah Allah” boys(King Faisal) three maximum points on the day.
Speaking in an interview on Happy FM about King Faisal battling relegation in the GPL, striker for the side, Samuel Adom Antwi said, “Our position on the league table is not the best and we met as a group and agreed to try and punch above our weights if we want to avoid relegation”
“The league(GPL) has become tough and I know for a club like King Faisal, relegation isn’t our portion and we would try to pick more points on our away fixtures,” he told Joe Debrah on Wamputu Sports.
Samuel Adom Antwi further urged his teammates to remain focused and work hard if they want to achieve the ultimate.
King Faisal is currently on 28 points and are still in the relegation mire after their win against Karela.
They will face Accra Lions on Saturday and will hope to come out victorious.
