GPLonHappyFM: David Duncan faces sack as Medeama, Asante Kotoko clash in top liner

Coach David Duncan has come under intense pressure following Medeama’s poor form in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

The Mauve and Yellow are without a win in their last three games and they host defending champions Asante Kotoko at the Akoon Park on match day six on Saturday.

Medeama lost their last home game against Aduana Stars by a lone goal.

Medeama are currently 12th on the league table with six points after five games played this season.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will be hoping to record back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

The Porcupine Warriors came from behind to beat Samartex 2-1 in match week five at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium kind courtesy of a free kick from Augustine Agyapong.

Kotoko suffered its first defeat of the season away to  Bechem United and they travel to Tarkwa to face Medeama SC in their second away game of the season. The Porcupine Warriors have a good record in Tarkwa and have been tipped to win the game against their opponents.

At the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak will hope to continue with their impressive run when they host Karela United. The Phobians are yet to taste defeat under head coach Slavko Matic.

Hearts of Oak are currently placed seventh on the league table with eight points after winning two games in a row. Daniel Afriyie Barnie will feature in the game which could be his last before he joins the Black Stars team for the World Cup in Qatar.
