GPL: The title race is not yet over- Samuel Boadu

Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu, is confident of his team can still catch up with league leaders Asante Kotoko on top of the table in the race for the league title.

The Phobians failed to close the gap on the league table after losing to Aduana Stars on matchday 20 of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Sam Adams scored the only goal of the game to give the ‘Ogya lads’ the deserving win.

The defeat sees Hearts of Oak 15 points behind league leaders Asante Kotoko.

Samuel Boadu’s secret to winning GPL title finally revealed

Asante Kotoko thrashed Bibiani Gold Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium by 5-0 on Sunday to extend their lead on top of the table.

However, Samuel Boadu speaking after the game is confident his side can still bounce back and challenge Asante Kotoko for the league title.

“The title race is not yet over.”Boadu told StarTimes.

“This is football, the boys played well but were not able to convert their chances.”

The Phobians host AshantiGold SC at the Accra Sports Stadium on matchday 21

Sulley Muntari is expected to make a return for the club after missing the game against Aduana Stars on Sunday.
