The first Super Clash game of the season comes off at the Accra Sports Stadium as Hearts of Oak host Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League match day six.
The game has generated a lot of interest owing to the impressive performance of the two clubs.
Both teams recorded wins in their respective matches in match day five of the Ghana Premier League. Hearts came from behind to beat Liberty Professionals 2-1 while Asante Kotoko defeated Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Ahead of the big game on Sunday, both teams have intensified their preparations.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s game, Hearts of Oak coach, Nii Odoom has promised the fans
of victory, “Preparations have been very good and going on very well. We are very relaxed and there is no pressure on us. It’s going to be a normal game for us. Every game is all about the three points. My players are very focused ahead of this game”.
He called on the fans to troop to the Accra Sports Stadium to support the team to victory.
“I urge the fans to come to the Accra Sports Stadium in their numbers to cheer the team on. We are going for the three points”.
Asante Kotoko Coach, Maxwell Konadu also said, “Kotoko is always ready for Hearts of Oak encounter. I believe they are also ready for us. You know matches between the two teams are tough and nobody is going to relax”.
“I know they are preparing very well and going to have an eye on the match so it’s going to be interesting match in Accra”, he concluded.
In the last five meetings between both sides at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Ghana Premier League, Asante Kotoko have recorded three wins with Hearts of Oak recording one win and a draw.
The Porcupine Warriors have dominated the Phobians at their own backyard in the league.
Hearts of Oak have vowed to beat Asante Kotoko and halt their impressive run in Accra.
