
The government through the Ministry For The Interior has issued a notice of adjustments to Eid-Ul-Fitr holidays expected to be observed nationwide.
The Ministry for the Interior , explained in an official press release that the Statutory Public Holiday which was initially scheduled to be observed either on Sunday, March 30 2025 or Monday March 31, 2025 has been shifted on account of March 30 being a weekend
The release which was signed by the Minister of the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak noted that the adjustment has been made by an executive order in alignment with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act (Act) 601. ‘His excellency, the President of The Republic of Ghana has by Executive Instrument (E,I.) in accordance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act (Act 601) declared Monday, 31st March 2025 and Tuesday, 1st April 2025 as additional Public Holidays and should be observed as such throughout the country.”
