
The Mahama administration has officially dissolved the National Cathedral Secretariat and ceased state funding for the project.
The Minister of State for Government Communication, Felix Ofosu Kwakye disclosed this decision during a media interview.
He highlighted unresolved issues related to procurement and contractor payments, stating that the project has been abandoned and deemed a “worthless structure.”
President Mahama has pledged to audit the project, emphasizing accountability and the protection of public funds amid economic challenges.
Allegations of corruption and financial mismanagement have surrounded the project since its inception.
