Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) President Ben Nunoo-Mensah has announced he will not seek re-election when his tenure ends.
He was re-elected in 2021 and has decided to step aside to “serve humanity in a different and equally fulfilling way.”
Nunoo-Mensah expressed gratitude to sports ministers, federation heads, and stakeholders for their support. Under his leadership, Ghana secured an Olympic medal after 30 years and developed a Community Sports Centre at Amasaman.
GOC elections are set for April 28, 2025, with former Secretary General Richard Akpokavie the only declared candidate so far.
