
Mr. Ernest Boateng, Chief Executive Officer of Global Media Alliance Group (GMA), has been honoured with the prestigious “CEO of the Year” award at the inaugural SHIMEI Star Influential Awards. The ceremony, which took place as part of the ‘Include Her’ Conference at the Fiesta Royale Hotel in Accra, recognized Mr. Boateng’s exemplary leadership and commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The timing of this recognition is particularly important, coinciding with International Women’s Day celebrations worldwide, highlighting the importance of Mr. Boateng’s contributions to advancing gender equality in Ghana’s media sector.
Under Mr. Boateng’s visionary leadership, Global Media Alliance Group, has consistently demonstrated a commitment to gender inclusivity, notably through the strategic appointment of women to key leadership positions, including the company’s Chief Director role. His administration has been marked by deliberate efforts to amplify women’s voices within the broadcasting industry, providing opportunities for female talent to front prominent radio shows in spaces traditionally dominated by men.
