The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer of the Center for Democratic Development (CDD), Samuel Baaye says the latest findings from the Afro barometer report reveals that Ghanaians now prioritize roads and infrastructure over economic conditions.
According to him, this is the first time in the history of Ghana that Ghanaians have prioritized roads and infrastructure over economic conditions in the country.
In an interview on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ Samuel Baaye said that, “At a road commissioning in the Bono East the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia mentioned the afro barometer report as the reason for government declaring 2020 as the year of roads.”
When asked why citizens’ priority has changed, he stated that, “we don’t ask respondents why they answer how they do. Our focus is to make the views of ordinary citizens part of inclusive governance.”
He also added that, the ruling government should take these findings seriously and make policies with these findings in mind.
