Ghana’s Coronavirus deaths climb to 2 as confirmed cases rise to 27

Senegal confirms first coronavirus case

Another person has died because of coronavirus infection, bringing the total fatalities to two as total cases increase to 27 in Ghana.

The Ghana Health Service is yet to give details about the deceased.

All the remaining 25 confirmed cases are receiving treatment in isolation.

In an update on its website, the Service said a total of 521 suspected cases have been tested for COVID-19 by the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) and the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research (KCCR).

Among the confirmed cases, 20 are of Ghanaian nationality, the majority of whom returned home from affected countries.

Seven are of other nationals, namely: Norway, Lebanon, China, France, UK.
