President-elect John Dramani Mahama has urged supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to deepen their prayers, stressing the need for even greater spiritual dedication than during the campaign period.
He highlighted the importance of seeking divine guidance to provide the party with the strength and wisdom required to implement policies aimed at improving the lives of all Ghanaians.
Speaking to a gathering of NDC supporters, Mahama emphasized the need for fervent prayers, noting that this is a critical time for the party to seek God’s support to overcome challenges and deliver on its promises to make Ghana a better place to live.
Mahama criticized the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration for leaving behind substantial debts in key sectors such as education and energy, which his government will be tasked with addressing. He described these debts as a deliberate effort by the NPP to sabotage his administration.
Despite the challenges, Mahama expressed confidence in overcoming them with divine intervention. He also addressed delays in the disbursement of funds to WAEC, referencing a Facebook post that criticized the postponement of examinations.
