Hiplife artiste Eugene Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster and former member of music trio Praye has indicated that Ghanaian music has now lost its originality and quality, therefore majority of Ghanaian musicians are now doing disposable songs.
The ”Pull me down” hit maker in an interview with DJ Advicer, host of Ayekoo After Drive Show on Happy 98.9 FM said ”mostly, we need to check how to plan Ghanaian music. As it stands now, we are now creating disposable music because we listen to a song for one to two months and we dump and forget it.”
Responding to DJ Advicer’s question on what is accounting for this, ChoirMaster said ”I think the industry is not taking care of talents but if the platforms are able to screen and select good music and give air play to just the good ones, I think it will help”. He added.
