The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Council of Elders in South Africa, Benjamin Kofi Quarshie, has emphasized that the plans and initiatives launched by President John Dramani Mahama will ensure Ghanaians benefit from the change they voted for.
Speaking to Bismark Brown on Happy98.9FM’s Epa Hoa Daben, Mr. Quarshie highlighted a recent survey by Global InfoAnalytics, which revealed positive feedback from Ghanaians regarding President Mahama’s performance so far.
He pointed out that during his campaign, President Mahama promised to empower schools to produce their own food as part of efforts to strengthen the school feeding program.
“Since taking office, he has successfully set up a committee to help implement this initiative.”
Additionally, he noted that just a day after Mahama’s inauguration, the country faced a looming energy crisis, an issue the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) government neglected. However, President Mahama promptly established a committee to tackle the challenge, leading to its resolution.
Mr. Quarshie further stated that President Mahama had pledged to initiate an Economic Dialogue to unite Ghanaians in building the nation economically, socially, and culturally and true to his word, he has already set up a committee to drive this initiative.
He emphasized that several committees have been formed under President Mahama’s leadership, many of which Ghanaians may not yet be aware of. However, he assured the public that, in due time, they will experience the positive change they voted for.
