Ghanaians praise Asamoah Gyan after Black stars failed to beat Morocco

Morocco came out on top in a poor game against Ghana which was eventually resolved in the 83rd minute through Sofiane Boufal’s winner.

Sofiane Boufal’s late strike gave Morocco a 1-0 victory over Ghana in a somewhat flat and uninspiring Africa Cup of Nations Group C opener for the Black Stars at Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo on Monday.

The Black Stars of Ghana failed to capitalize on their chances in the game which could have made them triumphed over the Moroccan national team.

However, Former Ghana captain and specialist analyst on DSTV’s SuperSport channel, Asamoah Gyan says the Black Stars lacked urgency in their defeat to Morocco.

Gyan, who missed the tournament for the first time since 2008, gave a razor-sharp analysis on his punditry debut.

“If you create the chances and fail to convert them, the fans will not be happy,” added the Ghanaian forward.

Ghanaians back home have taken to Twitter to praise the former captain for putting Ghana on the map during his time by scoring unexpected goals for Ghana.
