Ghanaians must collaborate to preserve ecosystem – Wacam

The Associate Executive Director for Wassa Association of Communities Affected by Mining( Wacam), Mrs. Hannah Owusu Koranteng has cautioned ghanaians against the incision of conflict and confusion against one another as it only hampers the nation’s developement and growth.

She said , ” there are times we must acknowledge our errors , move past our differences and come together in a collaborative effort in sustaining the developement of the nation”.

The environmentalist expressed her concerns regarding decisions made by authoritative heads that may have severe impact on Ghanaians.

” Ghana is at a crossroad where a less thoughtful decision will impact the nation negatively. I doubt Ghana will even last for ten years . We will have major crisis ,talk of water crisis, pollution crisis and environmental crisis which will affect our health in the process”.

Speaking to Sammy Eshun on the Happy Morning Show, the human right activist emphasized on the need for a collaborative efforts by all stakeholders initiate Innovative measures in preserving and protecting the environment for future generations.

” With time , the world has come to recognize the role we humans have played in depleting the earth and its resources . It is time we come together and explore avenues in restoring our earth. The theme for World Health Day says, Restoring Our Earth. Let us take clues from that, and through Innovative thinking, we can restore our ecosystem”.
