Ghanaian footballer David Oduro has shared his insights on the key differences between training with FC Barcelona’s first team and youth team.
Oduro, who made the move from Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions to Barcelona during the summer transfer window, was initially expected to train with the Spanish club’s youth team. However, he has also had the opportunity to train with the first team and recently spoke about his experiences on his TikTok page.
Reflecting on the distinction between the two training environments, Oduro explained that training with Barcelona B (the youth team) comes with more pressure, as players are eager to prove themselves. In contrast, he finds training with the first team less intense.
“Training with the first team is good because there’s no pressure. The youth players press harder, and I tend to go in harder on them,” Oduro said, clarifying that the dynamics between the two setups are significantly different.
He also expressed his amazement at meeting and training alongside football stars he once watched on television, describing the experience as both surreal and unbelievable.
