Congolese musician,Awilo Longomba has said that music in his country began as a result of Ghanaian high life music that was introduced into his country,Congo.
He was speaking in an interview with Foster Romanus on the Late Nite Celebrity Show aired on e.TV Ghana.
“Music in my country started with Ghana’s high life music. Congolese music is very similar to Ghanaian highlife music”, he said.
He also sought to whet patrons’ appetite for the African legends Night by revealing that he had a lot of surprises for the audience.
The African Legends Night is set to take off on the 28th September,2019 at the Grand Arena Dome,Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). The show will feature Soukous Congolese muscian, Awilo Longomba, 2Baba from Nigeria and Ghana’s “Music Man”, Kojo Antwi.
