Ghanaian artiste, Edem switches career, set to contest NDC constituency race

Edem reportedly faces trial in court for knocking and killing woman

Ghanaian Hip Hop artiste, Denning Edem Hotor popularly known as “Edem Goget’em” has made public his interest to pursue his political ambition and contribute directly to decision-making in Ghana.

The Ghanaian rapper on Tuesday, March 21 took to his Twitter handle to announce that he’s going to be “fully active” in politics under the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He is however set to announce the constituency he intends to contest come Wednesday, March 22 ahead of the NDC primaries scheduled for May 13.

Edem joins a tall list of Ghanaian celebrities who later pursued politics in life including the likes of John Dumelo also of the NDC, George Quaye of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Kojo Bonsu (NDC) and Fritz Baffour – former Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma South constituency among a host of several others.
