The only female contestant in the Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential race, Amanda Clinton has dared other aspirant of the FA to tell ‘football people’ what they have done to help Ghana football when they were in the helm of affairs.

Madam Amanda was not rattled about assertions by some section of ‘football people’ who render her unqualified for the position but according to her she is not only obsessed to be the first female president of FA but wants to be the best.

“I just don’t want to be the first female president of the GFA, I want to be the best president of the association. I have the body of a woman with a man’s brain and mind,” she told Ohene Brenya-Bampoe on Anopa Bosuo Sports.

She added that “Track record matters so those saying they have been in the football fraternity for long should show us what they have done so far. I think we have tried and tested most of the Hopefuls so it’s time to give the new faces a chance.”

“There’s a lot of mistrust in Ghana football but football people are the most open-minded people I have come across,” she revealed.

Best-known for representing the GFA as they made formal responses to the government of Ghana and FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland and representing different international corporate clients who invested in Menzgold, the lawyer has now turned her sights on becoming the new face of the GFA.

Clinton would battle out with strong football personalities including George Afriyie, Kurt E.S Okraku, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Fred Pappoe, Osei Kweku Palmer and George Ankamah for the vacant position.
