The only female contestant in the GFA presidential race, Amanda Clinton has disclosed her passion for juvenile and female football.
According to her, Ghana has talent, but lacks management of the talents, so the time has come for a new direction for the country to put the right people at the helm of affairs to win back the lost glories and prepare new visions. “Our model right now is almost about selling players outside rather than developing and growing talents in the country,” she said in an interview on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports with Ohene Brenya-Bampoe.
She promised to seek unprecedented sponsorship for the juvenile/colts clubs, and move female clubs to higher realms in terms of planning and strategic organisation.
She also revealed the stern task involved in revamping and rebranding Ghana football as the association needed someone who would do an exceptional job to restore the good image of the football association.
Madam Amanda would battle it out with strong football personalities including George Afriyie, Kurt E.S Okraku, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Fred Pappoe, Osei Kweku Palmer and George Ankamah for the vacant position.
