President of the Ghana Volleyball Association (GVA),Paul Atchoe, has stated that the elections of new executives will be held on 9th March, 2019.
Speaking exclusively to HAPPY FM, Mr Atchoe gave the date and venue for the 2019 elective congress of the Ghana volleyball Association.
“The last time we met, congress gave the incumbent executives a directive to put in place the modalities for the upcoming elections. In accordance to that directive, we have fixed March 9, 2019 for the elections to be held at the media centre of the Accra Sport Stadium,’’ he said.
“This election is to give every contestant the opportunity to voice out their concerns for the development of the association. However, my candid opinion is that you can’t do it without stepping on some toes. Not everybody’s idea will help the vision. But as a leader, I am inviting everybody on board to support the election on come 9th March” he disclosed.
Meanwhile, Edward Owusu, representing the Ghana Army and Mr. Atchoe are both contenders for the top position as the president of the association.
Aside the top two contenders for the position, George Tettey is the sole contender for the vice president position, while for the position of treasurer, Edem Dotse Devine will battle it out with Raphael Rodger Debra.
